Meeting January 11, 2011Back to Meeting Minutes Board Members in attendance:
December 14, 2010 Board Meeting Minutes – Minutes were reviewed. A motion was made by Charlie and seconded by Angelo to approve the minutes as submitted. All in attendance were in favor. Motion carried.
Treasurer's Report - (B. DiBella) Bob presented the treasurer's report and reviewed the summary and transaction report and stated that the account is in very good condition
as of December 31, 2010. A motion was made by Chris and seconded by Charlie to accept the treasurer’s report as submitted. All in attendance were in favor. Motion carried.
Registrar's (S. Masullo) – Balances are past due. All parents were notified this month.
If anyone is playing in a tournament in February you need to get the information to Steve right
away. If the player isn’t paid in full they will not receive a player pass.
Travel Team Update - Coaches need to make sure that everything gets picked up after practice.
Scott let everyone know that Halfmoon changed the set-up this year for U10. They are basically playing a
U8 format with larger goals. Placement forms are due tonight if there are any questions you can
discuss with Dave after the meeting. No one has received the second uniform some teams have not
received the first. The club is trying to work out the uniforms please be patient.
Fundraiser - Nothing at this time.
Spring Tournament- Tournament information was sent to all coaches. The tournament is early this
year please recruit teams. You should be trying to get at least four teams in each group. There will be a
meeting this Thursday at 7:30 to discuss the tournament.
Old Business – There is still one day available for the Schalmont gym, please notify Dave
if you are interested. Make sure kids do not enter the gym until 6:30. Schalmont is buying benches for
the soccer fields they are looking for donations. This will be discussed during the board meeting on
New Business - New Business – A Select team, FC Capital, is being formed between Rotterdam, Colonie, Latham, and Guilderland for U12-U14 boys. It would be open to any player that is registered with one of those teams. There will be a tryout at the end of March. The best players will make the team it will not be an even distribution from each club. Cost will be about $120 for 10 practices on Monday nights. They would play in two premier tournaments. The coaches are Cory Gregg, Mike Canally, Mike Trimarci, and Bill Blessi all are Varsity coaches. Everyone in attendance was in agreement that this was a good idea and would like to move forward. This will grow to other age groups next year if successful.
MVP is doing KidPower with Abby Wambach on Wednesday Feb 16th 6-8pm for boys and girls.
This clinic is free you just need to pre register online.
With no other topics to be discussed, a motion was made by Eugene seconded by Chris
to adjourn the meeting at 8:10pm.
