D. McDermott called the March 2013 monthly board meeting to order at 7:30pm at the Columbo Club, Rotterdam, NY.

February 12, 2013 Board Meeting Minutes – Minutes were reviewed. A motion was made by Bobby J. and seconded by Pat to approve the minutes as submitted. All in attendance were in favor. Motion carried.

Treasurer's Report (P. Dowse) - Pat presented the treasurer's report and reviewed the summary and transaction report. She stated that the account is in good shape as of February 28, 2013. A motion was made by Angelo C and seconded by Pat D. to accept the treasurer’s report as submitted. All in attendance were in favor. Motion carried.

The club will be purchasing 2 sets of u8 goals ($1200) and one set of U12 goals ($3000) before field set-up. Depending on the success of the tournament will look to buy a set of full size goals ($5000).

Registrar's Report - Tammy has all of the registrations and the majority of teams approved. There are a few changes that are being processed. The turnaround time is on average 3-3 1/2 weeks. If you think you will have changes you need to let Tammy know ASAP or they may not be ready for the tournament. Tammy passed out a number of registrations at the meeting however if your players are not paid in full they will not receive player passes. There is a form that must be completed for any guest players and requires the signature of the coach of the team they are currently registered on. Forms will be sent to all coaches, it is the responsibility of the coaches to complete the forms and get them to Tammy within the next 2 weeks. If you as a coach have players you think should be a guest player you need to ask the parent and bring it up to the coach above you. If you are a coach of a team with low numbers you need to contact the coach below you and request them to provide guest players. Email is the best way to get the form to Tammy.

Marketing and Fundraising (P. Dowse) - Thanks to everyone that participated in the fish and chips event the club earned $250 for scholarships. The club raised $30 off of tickets to the Sienna Basketball game. Get your ads and shouts for the tournament to Pat Dowse or Bob DiBella ASAP. We are continuing the World’s Finest Chocolate fundraiser, if you are interested please let Pat know this week. The club will have a table and hand out flyers highlighting all of our programs at the Mohonasen wellness fair on May 21, 2013 from 4-6 pm. Summer camp will be held the week of 8/5-8/9 encourage your players to attend. A foot skills clinic will be held over spring break cost will be $30/day or $100 for the week. The clinic will be run by Bobby Jones and Angelo Caschera. Looking to hold another dine to donate at the Recovery Grill during spring soccer.

Spring Soccer - Spring soccer will be held on Saturdays from 4/27 – 6/8 excluding Memorial Day. Tammy will send the flyers to Vincy’s this week and we will get them out to the schools for distribution in early April. A uniform package will be provided to spring rec players. JV and Varsity players are eligible to coach spring soccer. If Modified players want to help they will not get paid. Asking that coaches of the older age groups encourage their players to coach spring soccer.

Spring Tournament - Committee meeting will be held on Monday March 18, 2013 at 7:30pm. Ads and shouts are due. Field set-up is Saturday 3/30 please recruit your parents to volunteer for field set-up. If we have enough volunteers can get it done in 3 hours. The following weekend is a rain date or day to finish up. Only 1 month away we have 32 teams right now. Dave will start emailing coaches the list of participants on a regular basis every 2-3 days. Keep pushing teams if they sign up before April 1 they get a discount. The board members will be there throughout the tournament encourage coaches to help out when their teams aren’t playing.

Travel Teams - This Saturday is the mandatory coaches clinic every coach has to take 2 classes. First time coaches have to attend the coaches meeting from 12-1. If a representative from your team does not attend you cannot reschedule a game.

New Business - Goalie training has ended we will move to outdoor training as soon as the fields are ready. Will try to schedule speed and agility on Monday evenings during the outdoor season

The U16 girls have a state cup game at the RYSC fields on Sunday April 7 at 1:00pm against Greece Odyssey. There is also a U12 boys state cup game on May 11th. Encourage the other travel teams and players to go and cheer them on. A request came in to open the concession during the travel season. If you can get the volunteers to work concession during men’s league or the spring season please let Pat know. Dave has the master schedule for our fields and is open to someone manning the concession if there are parents that are interested in working.

If you still owe money for names or warm-ups please get them in ASAP.

With no other topics to be discussed, a motion was made by Bob seconded by Angelo to adjourn the meeting at 8:17pm.
