D. McDermott called the June 2012 monthly board meeting to order at 7:30pm at the Columbo Club, Rotterdam, NY.

May 8, 2012 Board Meeting Minutes – Minutes were reviewed. A motion was made by Steve and seconded by Angelo S. to approve the minutes as submitted. All in attendance were in favor. Motion carried.

Treasurer's Report (B. DiBella) - Bob presented the treasurer's report and reviewed the summary and transaction report and stated that the account is in excellent condition as of May 31, 2012. A motion was made by Angelo S. and seconded by Chris to accept the treasurer’s report as submitted. All in attendance were in favor. Motion carried.

Registrar's Report - There are a few people looking to fill the registrar position. Club plans to have an interview process with the three candidates this month. Steve will work closely with the new registrar for the first year.

Marketing and Fundraising (P. Dowse) - Pat will work with Roman Villa on fundraising activity for the fall recreatin season. Please provide feedback regarding the worthy cards, do families like this fundraiser, are they interested in doing it again next year. If anyone has any recommendations about fundraising or is interested in serving on the committee please let Pat know.

Fall Rec - Flyers were distributed to the schools. This season we are including 7th and 8th graders. They will play in the first session and will play on the same size field as the other rec teams. The Referee Clinic will be held Saturday 8/4 at 8:30am with the test at 11:30am. You must be 12 to be a referee in fall rec. If someone is already a referee it is recommended that they attend the class as a refresher.

Travel Teams - Angelo and Dave will be meeting with the girls coaches in the next couple of weeks before tryouts. Dave went over the coaches he has planned so far. We have a need for additional boys coaches this year. There will be a tryout for the U16 girls on Thursday 6/28, 7/19, and Sunday 8/12 from 6:00-7:30 with a parent meeting to follow. Player must attend the younger tryout in June and then can tryout at the older age group at the second tryout. If the player’s birthday falls between September-December they can tryout at the older age group. Placements will be made after the first two tryouts. The placements will be posted on the website this year. Coaches will not be contacted players directly so that all players are aware of placements at the same time. Discussion was held about team placements for divisions in the outdoor season and that you should be playing at the appropriate division. Do not play down to win all games. You are in the correct division if you have a 50/50 season.

Old Business – 4 coaches will be coming for the Frisonone Camp this year a keeper, a female coach and two male coaches. There are currently 40 players signed up. Camp starts August 6-11 from 9-4:30. Details can be found on the website. There will be clinics for teams from 4-7pm there are two teams one from Schalmont and one from Mohonasen that will be working with the coaches. Angelo and Pat are coordinating an Italy trip at the end of June next year. Cost will be approximately $2800 for 5 mornings of soccer, beach time in the afternoon, and games at night against the Italian Youth Soccer Organization. The second week will consist of sightseeing in a number of cities. The trip is for kids age U12 and up. More information will be emailed to all parents and an information night will be scheduled.

With no other topics to be discussed, a motion was made by Dave seconded by Pat to adjourn the meeting at 8:55pm.
