D. McDermott called the June 2011 monthly board meeting to order at 8:30pm at the Columbo Club, Rotterdam, NY.

May 10, 2011 Board Meeting Minutes – Minutes were reviewed. A motion was made by Carlo and seconded by Angelo to approve the minutes as submitted. All in attendance were in favor. Motion carried.

Treasurer's Report (B. DiBella) - Bob presented the treasurer's report and reviewed the summary and transaction report and stated that the account is still in great condition as of May 31, 2011. A motion was made by Steve and seconded by Carlo to accept the treasurer’s report as submitted. All in attendance were in favor. Motion carried.

Registrar's Report (S. Masullo) – Nothing to report at this time.

Marketing & Fundraising (P. Dowse) - Worthy card money is due tonight. Next year this will be included in the registration fee. Pat will provide a report on the success of this fundraiser.

Fall Soccer - Considering expanding fall recreation for next year the idea came up too late to roll it out this year. Expanding recreation soccer also provides the opportunity for some grants. The flyers will be handed out in the schools tomorrow. We need to get uniforms ordered. Tentative referee class will be Saturday 8/6 the information will be on the website. Kids must be in 7th grade or above. Referees from previous years do not need to complete the class again but they can can free of charge for a refresher as long as ther is space.

Travel Teams - Discussed who will be coaching each group, we still need coaches on both the boys and girls side. The A coach will run the drills for the placements with all other coaches helping evaluate. The placement will not only be based on the tryout, past experience will be considered. All players must try out at the appropriate age group for the first placement. The only exception is those that currently played up a level can stay at the higher level. Angie will send each coach an evaluation for their players from last year. The club is asking each coach to sit down with their players one-on-one to provide feedback.

Old Business – To celebrate the 35th anniversary of the club a family day has been scheduled for July 24th starting at 2:30. If anyone is interested in the alumni, game contact Angie at abush@nycap.rr.com. If any of the coaches are willing to sit in the dunk tank please contact Angie. The event is free other than the chicken BBQ catered by Wagon Trail which costs $10. Tickets are on sale now for the barbeque see Pat Dowse for more information. Dinners will be available the night of family day if we have not sold the 250 minimum. This is for friends and family not specific to Rotterdam Soccer families.

We have about 40 people signed up for the Frosinone camp. the cost is $250 per person which will include the camp and other activities throughout the day. The Frosinone camp instructors will be providing all of their drill to the club. Please remind your players about the camp.

Maurizio discussed an incident that happened at the Niskayuna tournament. Michelle provided a report to CDYSL regarding the incident and they are investigating. The club will be provided a report at the end of the year regarding all of the incidents throughout the course of the CDYSL season. It is very important as coaches that we conduct ourselves in a proper way. If there are any issues with players, coaches, or referees please notify CDYSL when you report the game. Make sure all game scores are reported so we do not get any fines.

New Business - Next year the club will be having regular goalie training. Training will not be held every week but will held regularly throughout the year.

Pickup games will be on Monday and Wednesday at 6:00 at the RYSC fields. Games will start on July 6th. All age groups are encouraged to attend. Kids will be brokeb up by age/ability depending on the number of players.

With no other topics to be discussed, a motion was made by Angelo seconded by Bob to adjourn the meeting at 9:37pm.
