Board Members in attendance:

Coaches and Managers in attendance: T. Volans, M. Pierson, C. Waldron, C. Comenzo, T. Zarrelli, and P. Almodovar

We hope that families will start attending the membership meetings so that they can be more informed about the club. The coaching directors have been asked to work more closely with the coaches this year and follow-up with them on the expectations for the season. We will be holding separate coaches meetings. All of the coaches are under contract and we will be having coaching evaluations twice during the year. Evaluations will take place in December to evaluate the indoor season and once in the spring. Pat handed out the evaluation for anyone to make comments. We also ask that the managers be the eyes and ears for the board members and feel as though they can bring comments or questions from parents to the board. If you are at the fields for fall rec there is a box to evaluate the summer camp.

Financial Report - Bob Esposito was absent but provided the information for the board the balance stands in good shape as of August 31. A motion was made by Angelo C and seconded by Michelle to accept the treasurer's report as submitted. All in attendance were in favor. Motion carried.

We will once again offer financial assistance for travel players. The form was passed out to those in attendance and it will be online. The u8 fees are $400 this year and the U10 and up are $500.

Registrar's Report - The earlier you can get your teams registered the better. The earlier we can get them in the system the faster you will get your passes back. This is especially important if you are playing fall tournaments. Email Tammy when your team is ready. If you are a manager you need to register in the system as a manager then you can use the system to notify the team and see if everyone is registered. Please do not pay the full fee otherwise we have to reimburse managers.

CDYSL has asked to attend a general meeting, we have asked for them to attend in November. We would like to get as many people as possible to attend this meeting please encourage families to come.

Fundraising - We had a successful recycle redemption day at the summer camp. We will be doing this again during fall rec on October 19. You will not need to sort bottles just drop off the bags. They have offered to set-up an account and if you mention RYSC they will add it to our account. If you think families would like this option please let us know. Menchies frozen yogurt in the Walmart plaza will give us 20% for all families that turn in coupons Pat is trying to get approval on 9/21. Recovery Grill has been very supportive of our program we will be holding another dine-to-donate on 10/23. We would like to utilize the families in fall rec. There is a sample of World’s Finest Chocolate if teams are interested in selling we can order it by the case for the teams. If you would like to fundraise to go to tournaments etc let Pat know. We will be holding a raffle of an RYSC 31 bag, RYSC wine glasses, and wine bottles it will be set-up at fall rec. If anyone has additional ideas please bring them to Pat.

Fall Recreation- Picture day for fall rec is 9/21. This weekend we will hand out picture and trophy packets to the coaches. The picture schedule has been changed. We are in the process of designing a car magnet for parents to purchase. If you have any families interested in helping to run the concession stand please let us know. Send a reminder to the fall coaches that it is a 2 hour shift to run concession.

Travel Team Update - Coaches were asked to have parent meetings before September. Managers confirmed that this has happened. We have a need to recruit coaches in the u8 and u10 area. We have a need to recruit for teams in a few age groups we will be distributing a travel flyer during rec. The club is looking at dropping the price for U8 to make it more of a fun program. Kids that are interested in moving up can tryout at the u10 age group. We will have an informational meeting September 28 during rec with the tryout on Sunday 10/6 at 1:00pm. Indoor practice schedules will be selected next month. All coaches will get a warm-up suit and shirt. Angelo will look into a women’s cut for the uniforms.

With no other topics to be discussed, a motion was made by Steve seconded by Angelo C to adjourn the meeting at 8:52pm.
