Meeting September 14, 2010Back to Meeting Minutes Board Members in attendance:
June 8, 2010 Board Meeting Minutes – Minutes were reviewed. A motion was made by Angelo and seconded by Carlo to approve the minutes as submitted. All in attendance were in favor. Motion carried.
Treasurer's Report - (B. DiBella) Bob presented the treasurer's report and reviewed the summary and transaction report and stated that the account is in fair condition
as of August 31, 2010. A motion was made by Chet and seconded by Angelo to accept the treasurer’s report as submitted. All in attendance were in favor. Motion carried.
Registrar's (S. Masullo) – As of this morning there are 20 players registered with two coaches and two assistant coaches. U10A Boys and U14B Girls team are playing the fall season. Steve listed everyone that needs risk management this year a link to the list will be sent to all coaches. All new coaches need to have risk management. A coaching packet will be sent to all coaches. New coaches can get a waiver for the first year but need to take the course. Make sure coaches and players get online and register.
Fall Rec - We are still getting registrations in as of today. We are up to 590 players this year. There are large teams this year based on the late sign-ups and lack of coaches.
Travel Team Update - Another tryout on 10/3 U8-U12 only from 1-3pm. There is still a question of a third U10 Girls team which Angelo is going to coach. U16 girls have lost a few players but they should still be ok. U17 girls have lost players and they are down to 14 players Angelo is trying to recruit players.
All coaches need to be here next month becauase we will picking practice times. If coaches are not showing up at meetings or sending a representative they will be fined. Angelo will check on gym space at Schalmont. All coaches need to sign a contract see Dave if you have not done so.
Trophies are in for teams from last year. They can be picked up at the club.
Angelo needs the sizes for kids as soon as possible. Angela will send out the form from last year. Coaches have to fill out a page and parents have to fill out a page. Fees went up $10 from last year to $410. Fees for U8 and U19 are different.
Old Business – Nothing at this time.
New Business - CDYSL annual meeting Bob and Dave went to it they gave out a banner and trophies. The hall of fame inductee was Afrim. Eugene is the highest level referee in the area and they discussed him at the meeting.
Bethlehem, Colonie, Rotterdam, Latham and Guilderland are discussing coordinating a premiere team that would only attend tournaments. You would still have to play on your club team but you could tryout to play on this premiere team for tournaments. This will be especially beneficial for the older kids that can attend college showcase tournaments. This would start with the boys team and hopefully expand to the girls teams. Angelo will coordinate for the girls side. More details are coming.
With no other topics to be discussed, a motion was made by Steve seconded by Angelo to adjourn the meeting at 8:42pm.
